A Public Charitable Trust established by serving / retired Telecom Accounts & Finance Officers to serve the community in general and provide aid to meritorious students in particular out of voluntary donations.
Though Ms. P. Lakshmi joined the Trust a little late, yet she merged with all immediately. Known as “Senior Lakshmi”, this versatile person can narrate incidents in an interesting way to make the reader teleport to the incident as a character. Apart from multiple traits, she has a lot of feathers in her official cap too! During a short stint as officiating AO (Cash), she introduced cheque encoding system which improved cash flow overnight. In TR, she has always overachieved targets. The jewel in the crown was collecting information and billing other operators for tower sharing by sheer pursuit, which resulted in realization of over 13 Crores in less than eight weeks! She is an occasional donor to the Trust.
We are retired / serving F&A Officers of Indian Telecom. While in service, we were spread across the Country, but united by single cause of serving the Department of Telecommunications, which is BSNL / MTNL today. We joined together and decided to contribute to the welfare of the society keeping service in mind.
Tamil Nadu Telecom Accounts and Finance Officers' Welfare Trust was formally registered on 10-02-2014 at Chennai (Reg. No. 54/2014) with a noble vision of mutual cooperation aimed at community upliftment.
Key Objectives:
All monetary contributions made to the Trust enjoy 50% Income Tax Exemption under Section 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (Section 133 of the Income Tax Act, 2025).
